Anthony Haden SalernoHead of Motion / Informa Connect

My background spans filmmaking, editing, motion design, and performance. Today, I bring that range to creative leadership.

I stay close enough to the craft to give insightful direction, and look far enough ahead to help teams build work that holds together across campaigns, channels, and live experiences.

Recent leadership work includes video marketing for Money20/20 USA, social and onsite content for Black Hat USA and GDC Festival of Gaming, motion campaign supervision for BIO-Europe, and co-leading the Antibody Engineering & Therapeutics rebrand.

I’ve built intake, capacity planning and production systems to help a global team manage workload and allocate resources. I’ve also brought consistent creative oversight to brands that previously lacked it, establishing clearer direction and quality standards. My studio management spans team development, freelancer engagement, budgets and stakeholder priorities, giving the team the structure and support to deliver strong work.

SELECT CONTRIBUTIONS

Direction, production and creative systems.

SuperReturn / Event series

Creative leadership & opener strategy

I lead creative initiatives for the 2027 SuperReturn event season. One example is the proposal of a smaller set of reusable cinematic films to replace 15 separate event openers, with each film customized for its event. Leadership accepted the approach, with an estimated avoidance of approximately 14 designer-weeks of work.

Cannes Lions

Sponsor videos & educational promos

I produced sponsor videos and educational promos about creative marketing for Cannes Lions.

Black Hat USA / 2025

Social marketing & onsite content

I directed social marketing and onsite content production, guiding creative work for the event’s digital and live environments.

GDC / 2023–2026

Motion identity, marketing & onsite content

I directed onsite social marketing for GDC Festival of Gaming 2026. My wider GDC work includes the 2023 stinger, which I directed, edited, animated and scored, and the 2024 exhibitor and sponsor sizzle reel, which I produced, edited and created all motion graphics for.

Money20/20 USA / 2025

Campaign direction & video production

I directed, produced and edited video marketing for Money20/20 USA 2025, bringing brand storytelling and hands-on craft to the campaign. One campaign video received more than 165,000 views.

BIO-Europe / 2026–present

Motion campaign supervision

I supervise motion campaign work for BIO-Europe, beginning with the 2026 event and continuing into future editions.

Audience figures describe the events, not the reach of my individual assets or a measured effect of my work on attendance or growth. Figures refer to the editions or organizer audience profile shown and are separate from the dates of my work. GDC’s figures are its current organizer audience profile. BIO-Europe’s audience figures are for 2025; my contribution begins in 2026. SuperReturn’s figures cover the global event series in Informa’s 2025 investor presentation; my contribution relates to the 2027 event season.

The work behind
the work.

Strong creative depends on clear direction,
capable people, and room to do their best work.

I lead a centralized motion team serving Informa Connect’s global event portfolio. Alongside creative direction, I own resourcing, freelancer engagement, quality, and the development of the people doing the work.
